From Achilles Rehabilitation to Long-Term Strength

"Once my rehab was complete, I transitioned over to personal training because I did not want to stop my progress towards overall health."

After recovering from an Achilles injury, a patient continued working with Trevor to pursue greater strength and long-term fitness.

"Trevor created the perfect recovery plan to get me back on my feet and moving again. He was very knowledgeable and very good at explaining every exercise and how it was being used to get me to the next level of recovery."

A patient initially sought physical therapy with Trevor Elliott for an Achilles injury. While recovering from the injury was the immediate priority, the patient also wanted to improve overall strength and physical fitness rather than simply return to their previous level of activity.

Trevor emphasized individualized exercise programming, continually adjusting activities based on the patient's abilities, goals, and progress. His combination of physical therapy and strength and conditioning expertise allowed the patient to transition from injury rehabilitation into a more comprehensive personal training program.

During rehabilitation, the patient developed a strong working relationship with Trevor and appreciated his ability to listen, make adjustments, and tailor exercises to individual needs. As recovery progressed, the patient recognized an opportunity to continue building on that progress.

After completing rehabilitation for the Achilles injury, the patient chose to continue working with Trevor through personal training. What began as treatment for an injury evolved into an ongoing commitment to building strength and improving long-term health.

Returning to Running After Ankle Surgery

"The one-on-one sessions are personalized to you and your recovery goals." "This is the Moore difference."

I have been a patient of Greg’s for a couple of years now and as an injury prone person, he has helped me overcome some major injuries and has given me the tools I need to prevent future injuries. I first met Greg when I sprained my knee playing ultimate frisbee in 2022. After an MRI showing nothing was torn, it was a mystery to my orthopedist as to what caused my injury and why I could not bend it or put weight on it. Greg educated me on the inner workings of the knee and was able to speculate what actually gave out on me. He showed me unique exercises to strengthen my knee and the surrounding muscles/ligaments that left me feeling stronger than I was pre-injury. When I sprained both my ankles in the fall of 2023, I started seeing Greg again as part of my recovery plan. When my right ankle lagged in recovery, it was determined that in order to achieve full recovery I would need to have my lateral ligament repaired. A surgery that I was told could take 6 months to a year for recovery. I am nearing the 4 month mark of being post surgery and I honestly do not believe I would be where I am at with my recovery if it was not for Greg. I am currently hitting milestones, like walking and now running ahead of protocol because he has given me the tools to strengthen my ankle and the rest of my leg that lost a lot of muscle during the 12 weeks I spent in a cast and boot. I have done PT at larger corporations and nothing compares to the unique setting at MPH. Greg is attentive and truly cares about his patient’s recoveries. Their wins are his wins. The one-on-one sessions are personalized to you and your recovery goals. I love the fact that each session, Greg has me doing different exercises/challenges, versus at a corporate PT location, you often do the same exercises every session, often on your own or with the help of a Tech and not your actual therapist. This is the Moore difference.

An active patient who enjoyed ultimate frisbee and other sports experienced multiple injuries over several years, including a significant knee sprain followed by injuries to both ankles. When one ankle failed to recover adequately, surgery to repair a damaged lateral ligament became necessary. Facing an anticipated recovery of six months to a year, the patient was determined to regain strength and return to an active lifestyle.

Following 12 weeks in a cast and walking boot, the patient faced considerable weakness and muscle loss. Greg developed a progressive strengthening program designed around the patient's recovery needs, incorporating varied exercises and challenges as function improved. Each session provided direct, one-on-one guidance rather than repetitive exercises performed independently.

Having previously worked with Greg through other injuries, the patient returned to Moore Performance Health for post-surgical rehabilitation. Previous experiences at larger physical therapy clinics had highlighted the value of Greg's individualized attention and willingness to adapt treatment to each stage of recovery.

By approximately four months after surgery, the patient reported reaching important rehabilitation milestones, including walking and beginning to run, ahead of the anticipated timeline. Beyond the physical progress, the patient gained greater confidence and an understanding of how to continue building strength.

Shockwave Therapy

Walking Without Pain After 2½ Years

"Four sessions later and I feel like a new person! For the first time in 2 1/2 years, I can walk without pain!"

Persistent pain after surgery had resisted several treatments. Four shockwave sessions made a remarkable difference in this patient's experience.

I saw Greg for shockwave therapy 2 1/2 years after a lower leg/foot injury/surgery because I had soft tissue issues that were simply not going away, no matter what type of PT, strength training, and Massage Therapy that I tried. Even after one session, I noticed significant improvement! Four sessions later and I feel like a new person! For the first time in 2 1/2 years, I can walk without pain! Greg is extremely knowledgeable and great to work with.

Following a lower-leg and foot injury that required surgery, a patient continued to struggle with persistent soft tissue pain for two and a half years. Despite trying traditional physical therapy, strength training, and massage therapy, the symptoms remained, making something as basic as walking uncomfortable.

Greg incorporated shockwave therapy to address the patient's persistent soft tissue symptoms. This noninvasive treatment offered an alternative approach after more conventional rehabilitation efforts had failed to provide lasting improvement.

After years of unsuccessful treatment, the patient sought out Gregory Moore for extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), hoping a different treatment approach might finally provide relief.

The patient noticed significant improvement after just one treatment. Following four sessions, the improvement was dramatic: for the first time in two and a half years, the patient reported being able to walk without pain.

Finding Answers After Shoulder Surgery

"Our daughter has gone from living with daily pain to being almost completely pain free - something we honestly don’t think was possible."

After more than a year of watching our daughter struggle with constant shoulder pain - even after surgery-we had nearly exhausted every option. We had tried many things, but no one was able to identify the underlying issue or provide lasting relief. Dr Moore changed that. He took the time to thoroughly evaluate her condition, made a diagnosis that no one else had uncovered and developed a treatment plan that finally addressed the root cause of her pain. In a very short period of time, our daughter has gone from living with daily pain to being almost completely pain free - something we honestly don’t think was possible. We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Moore for his expertise and compassionate care. He has truly made a life changing difference for our daughter , and we cannot recommend him highly enough.

For more than a year, a young woman struggled with constant shoulder pain that persisted even after surgery. Her family had explored numerous treatment options, but nothing had provided lasting relief. Daily pain had become a frustrating reality, and they were beginning to lose hope that she would fully recover.

Greg performed a thorough evaluation to better understand the source of her pain. Based on his findings, he developed an individualized treatment plan targeting the underlying problem rather than simply managing symptoms. His careful assessment and focused approach provided the direction that had been missing from her previous care.

After exhausting nearly every option, the family turned to Gregory Moore. Unlike previous evaluations, Greg identified an underlying issue that had not been recognized by other providers, offering a new explanation for her persistent symptoms and a different path forward.

In a relatively short period, she progressed from experiencing daily shoulder pain to being almost completely pain-free. After more than a year of frustration, the improvement was something her family had begun to think might never happen.

Back to Baseball After a Year of Shoulder Pain

"I will forever be grateful to Greg for getting my son back to playing shortstop without pain!!"

After two unsuccessful courses of physical therapy, a young baseball player finally returned to shortstop without pain.

My 16 year old son started having issues with pain in his shoulder over a year ago. Unfortunately, this pain prevented him from throwing a baseball and playing the sport he loved. After working with two different physical therapists, he still had pain. We then visited a prominent orthopaedic surgeon who highly recommended seeing Greg Moore. This orthopaedic surgeon described Greg as the "guru of physical therapy". Starting PT with Greg was the BEST decision we've made. Greg's passion to help others achieve their goals is highly evident. He doesn't just bring the cookie cutter exercises to his physical therapy sessions but rather, he thinks outside the box. I will forever be grateful to Greg for getting my son back to playing shortstop without pain!! I HIGHLY recommend Greg Moore for anyone needing physical therapy.

A 16-year-old baseball player had been struggling with shoulder pain for over a year, preventing him from throwing and playing the sport he loved. Despite working with two different physical therapists, his pain persisted, leaving his family searching for answers.

Rather than relying on a standard set of exercises, Greg took a personalized, problem-solving approach to rehabilitation. He looked beyond conventional treatment routines, adapting his approach to the young athlete's specific limitations and his goal of returning to baseball.

After previous treatments failed to resolve the problem, a highly regarded orthopedic surgeon recommended Gregory Moore. The family was hopeful that a different perspective and more individualized approach could finally help their son return to baseball.

The young athlete successfully returned to playing shortstop without shoulder pain. For his family, the ability to watch him enjoy baseball again was the outcome they had been hoping for after a frustrating year of unsuccessful treatment.

Finding the Right Rehab After Labrum and ACL Surgeries

"He completely changed my perspective on rehabilitation and how much can truly be done with the right regimen."

After a labrum repair and two ACL surgeries during college, a patient finally found a rehab approach that moved recovery forward.

A 5 star review alone feels underwhelming given how much Greg has done for me and my rehabilitation journey. I’ve had shoulder surgery after a labrum tear as well as two acl surgeries on my right knee. These happened while I was at college so I had to work with other physical therapists in some cases and the quality always paled in comparison to working with Greg. In each case, I was having challenges with recovery and felt nowhere close to my pre-surgery self until later consulting with Greg. He completely changed my perspective on rehabilitation and how much can truly be done with the right regimen. Greg is meticulous in his approach, and truly cares about the well-being of each of his patients. If you feel anything less than your best self physically, I’d highly recommend you talk to Greg.

During college, this patient had shoulder surgery after a labrum tear, followed by two ACL surgeries on the right knee. Rehabilitation with other physical therapists left them facing ongoing challenges and feeling nowhere close to their pre-surgery self.

Greg took a meticulous approach, building a rehabilitation regimen around the challenges the patient was facing after each surgery. Along the way, he showed them how much can truly be done with the right program.

In each case, recovery started moving forward again once the patient consulted with Gregory Moore. Compared with their other rehab experiences, the difference in quality was clear.

Greg completely changed how this patient thinks about rehabilitation. After struggling through earlier recoveries, they now recommend Greg to anyone who feels less than their best physically.

Hip and Hamstring Recovery That Led to Long-Term Training

"The exact opposite of the cookie-cutter PT models at other places."

Years after recovering from a hip injury with Greg, a patient returned for hamstring pain and decided to keep training after rehab.

Greg is THE BEST physical therapist to have in your corner! He is super knowledgeable, professional and creative in his approach. He takes the time to connect and really listen, and design a treatment plan around your individual goals and abilities. He varies the workouts and sessions, and keeps the pace fun and motivational, and honestly wants you to achieve your best. The exact opposite of the cookie-cutter PT models at other places. And Greg is really good at explaining what he is doing and why, and helping you understand your body and what it takes to heal and strengthen. I appreciate that. His facility itself, set in a beautiful historic building in Plymouth and with access to a large, open gym, is a great place to come to get better. Greg helped me several years ago to heal from a hip injury; I was so glad to reconnect with him again recently when I was suffering from hamstring pain. Once I complete my rehab program, I will be staying on with him for personal training services. Greg is exceptional at what he does, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Several years earlier, this patient worked with Greg to recover from a hip injury. When hamstring pain developed more recently, they wanted the same individualized care that had helped them before.

Greg took the time to listen and designed a treatment plan around the patient's individual goals and abilities. Sessions varied from visit to visit and kept a fun, motivating pace. Greg also explained what he was doing and why, helping the patient understand what it takes to heal and strengthen.

The patient reconnected with Greg at Moore Performance Health, a facility set in a historic building in Plymouth with access to a large, open gym.

The experience was the opposite of the cookie-cutter PT the patient had seen elsewhere. Once the rehab program is complete, they plan to stay on with Greg for personal training.
